Living Beyond Breast Cancer is a national nonprofit providing information and support to patients newly diagnosed, in treatment, post-treatment, and those living with breast cancer. Through the program, two Northern Light Mercy Cancer Care oncology nurse navigators, Erin York and Sonya Perkins, will present four sessions that will educate young women diagnosed with breast cancer on survivorship concerns and provide tools to navigate the long-term effects of treatment. Northern Light Mercy Cancer Care will partner with the Dempsey Center in South Portland to offer the four-part education program.
The Living Beyond Breast Cancer Survivorship series provides tips and tools to help you cope with your diagnosis and common side effects, build confidence and empower you to take charge of your health.
This series will educate young women 45 and under diagnosed with breast cancer on survivorship concerns and provide tools to navigate the long-term effects of treatment.
